Nation and revolution from the perspective of Chilean Marxism. The case of the Communist Party

Although the reflections on the nation can be traced through many latinamerican marxists, communist parties have addressed the problem regarding economic and social structure in order to think about the path for the revolution in each country. Different communist parties had throughout its history different itineraries to approach the subject, but undoubtedly the irruption of Cuban Revolution in our continent in 1959 brought to the agenda the debate about the revolutionary path. As part of a wider research, the present work focuses on the reflections about nation, revolution and its paths on the specific case of Chilean Communist Party, which a decade later would come into government as part of a political front that raised parliamentary democracy as a starting point for the socialist transition.
