This dossier brings together a set of studies prepared by researchers linked to the Working Group "Intellectuals, Ideas and Politics" of CLACSO, a space from which we have proposed to examine the intellectual phenomena that occurred within the framework of the particular social, political and cultural dynamics of Latin America in recent decades. In particular, the dossier investigates the ways in which the field of idea production has been reconfigured, the strategies of intellectual intervention, as well as the links between intellectual production, politics and the public sphere. The analysis aims to keep in mind the complex web of relationships between global processes and local developments.
