Abstract

Religion occupies a central place in the philosophy of Ludwig Feuerbach (1804-1872). It is on the religious plane, and through the genetic-critical method, that the philosopher from Bruckberg carries out the anthropological reduction of God. At the same time, he postulates praxis by situating the community in space and time, thereby giving rise to the constitution of the state. The aim of this article is to highlight the problem that arises with the figure of the head of state in the approach of the Provisional Theses for the Reform of Philosophy (1842), by postulating a type of individuality that represents all men and which, in turn, operates as a replacement for God. Thinking in these terms would make praxis impossible and, with it, politics. It is therefore proposed to consider the figure of the representative of humanity (Deputierte des Menshheit), an element that appears in The Essence of Christianity (1841), as a mediator of intersubjectivity in the exercise of praxis and representative of the gender in the political community.
