Abstract

The “eidetic” heritage in many intellectual ecosystems in LAC is not only very
varied, but also dates back tens of thousands of years and more. With very few exceptions,
the region's intellectuality has no working awareness of such magnitudes. An attempt is
made to present a rigorous and transparent formulation to understand the original ideas,
tending to characterize the moments of this process. Note that the question is not about the
original “human ideas”, since we start from the hypothesis that there are ideas (“proto-ideas” or “zooideas”) before sapiens-sapiens and even before what is nowadays called “genus
homo”. This work does not aim to give a definitive answer but to present a set of ways
through which we could move in that direction. Ten possible ways are distinguished,
presenting some proposals in relation to two of them. The notion of “eidetic frequency” is
developed, taking into account that university sapiens operate in certain frequencies, which
are not necessarily the same as those of all sapiens-sapiens and not necessarily the same as
those of other human or animal species. Having theories and eventually some basic
agreements about the origin of ideas is not necessary for the healthy development of Eidetic
Studies, although questioning about the matter is a question that may have similar
significance as discussing the origin of the universe for astronomy.
