Urgencias públicas e intereses privados: la regulación de medios en la agenda del gobierno argentino (2015-2019)
Keywords:
political agenda, public policy, media regulationAbstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the main measures implemented in the field of media regulation during Mauricio Macri’s government (2015-2019), and their variations in terms of relevance on the government's agenda throughout its term. The paper argues, on the one hand, that the priority the government gave to this issue was decreasing over the years: from a high initial relevance, materialized in a large number of initiatives that decisively modified the regulatory framework in force, the issue was diluted from the formal agenda towards the end of the term. On the other hand, it is argued that this action is framed in the intersection of the inside and outside initiative models of agenda building in policy making process.
