Una perspectiva de la dimensión política de la informalidad desde la performatividad estatal

Abstract

The article concentrates in the relationship between the State and the informal in terms of the moving boundaries produced by State´s categorizations. The symbolic dimension of statehood is considering an interpretative key of the political dimension of informality –i.e., its study in terms of the institutional displacement of the limits between formal and informal– that avoids difficulties generated by perspectives that understand formality in terms of a bounded sphere, splitting it from the informal. The article develops a theoretical proposal considering the bibliographic background related to political informality, as well as the role the exceptional in relation to norms.
